WINNIPEG, Manitoba - As the world continues relief efforts in earthquake-stricken Haiti, Jeremy Bradley's Top of The Charts stops the music and hits the airwaves for a special one-hour commercial-free broadcast.
As major Canadian and American television networks prepare for star-studded relief telethons on Friday, Bradley will take to the radio to discuss the situation in Haiti, the national and international relief efforts and chat with special guests.
"How can you not feel moved to make a difference?" said Bradley. "We are touched by the stories and pictures we see from Haiti and it's in this time of need we Canadians unite and do what we can to help out."
Joining Bradley are guests from across the country, including representatives from UNICEF Canada, the Canadian Red Cross, World Vision and members of Canada's Haitian community affected by the tragedy.
"We get an update from the Canadian Forces about what's happening on the ground in Haiti and what work is being done at home," said Bradley. "And if that wasn't enough, we're previewing the special Canadian and American television broadcasts airing Friday night. We hear from hosts Cheryl Hickey, Ben Mulroney and George Stroumboulopoulos."
Top of The Charts will be streamed online at
haiti.jbonair.com and air on the network of broadcast stations regularly running the show. The program will also be made available to radio stations across Canada.
